About Me & Art on the Vines
Hi, I'm Rik Saggers – a full-time artist for over 12 years and a passionate supporter of the creative community. After spending more than 20 years taking part in exhibitions I decided it was about time I should organise some.
I feel lucky to have been a part of a wonderful art community in the region over the last 20 years. I am always extremely grateful to all of the people who spend hours every year organising the exhibitions that have enabled artists like myself to do what we love. I felt it was time to give something back. That’s how Art on the Vines was born.
As with a lot of artists, I started my journey attending any craft fair or exhibition that would have me, travelling far and wide. It was always lovely to get out into the community and meet people face to face, especially as life as an artist can mean spending a lot of time at home or in your studio creating your art alone. For many years now I have been lucky to have been involved in some wonderful exhibitions, including the official art exhibitions at the Royal Norfolk Show, Tendring and Hadleigh Shows and also the Suffolk Show, where I have been extremely honoured to have been invited to be a demonstrating artist for the last 3 years during the Show days. I am also very thankful to the art galleries that have shown, displayed and sold my art over the years, every piece of the cog has helped me to get to where I am today and inspired me to create Art on the Vines.
Art on the Vines isn’t just an exhibition – it’s an experience. We bring together the region’s most talented artists and showcase their work in some of the area’s most beautiful vineyards. But more than that, we create welcoming, relaxed spaces where visitors can enjoy art, live music, entertainment, and interactive events – all while surrounded by nature and a glass of something local in hand. We would love you to get to know the artists and the beautiful vineyards that we will be exhibition in.
Our events are designed for everyone – from seasoned art lovers to curious newcomers, families looking for a great day out, and anyone who wants to connect with creativity in a meaningful way. There are chances to meet the artists, learn new skills, and most importantly, enjoy a day filled with inspiration, conversation, and connection.
I’m proud to be building something that supports artists and brings people together in such beautiful surroundings – and I can’t wait to welcome you to Art on the Vines.
